Stepping Into Second Grade with Ms. Walker

Hi my name is Brittany Walker and I plan on teaching second grade. My classroom teaching style will be hands on learning. I will have learning activities for my students because learning should be fun. Students learn better and are more attentive when they are excited. Educational games and activities will play a large part in my second grade classroom. Students will learn the many ways to learn and how to be an effective student while being in my class. They will later be able to say that Ms. Walker taught them like no other teacher has or ever will.

AVL...We're Rolling Into Technology

I will explain Alabama Virtual Library to my students and their parents. It's important that parents and students understand the AVL because technology is taking over the world. Teaching students about Alabama Virtual Library at an early stage in their life will be an essential element that will result in success as they get older. We will study AVL and I will show students how the program works. I will also take drastic measures to get the parents involved because it is just as important that the parents understand AVL as the students. AVL is growing bigger by the day and I believe it is imperative that students understand how the site works. The early they learn-the better.
